What we did
iOS and Android app redesign and rebuild, API integration, and stabilization
Hands holding a phone that shows the My Winn-Dixie weekly ad screen with a banner for this week's buy one get one free deals.

A rewards app built for the whole shopping trip.

The challenge

Winn-Dixie was sunsetting its current app and needed a replacement rewards system, fast. It had to cover the whole shopping trip, from building a list at home to checking out in store, and move the app off a third-party vendor system onto the retailer's own platform.

The build

A cross-platform iOS and Android loyalty app, redesigned and rebuilt in close check-ins with Winn-Dixie stakeholders. Shoppers get personalized digital coupons and clipping, rewards and points, a shopping list, the weekly ad, a store locator and fuel rewards, all connected to the retailer's own API. Shockoe also stabilized the app through crash, memory and rendering fixes and rewrote the list and coupon features for reliability.

The result

The new app was an instant hit. The user count tripled and load times were cut in half, giving every Winn-Dixie customer easy access to stores, personalized coupons and rewards that make shopping more enjoyable. The app has since passed 1M downloads on Google Play.

  • 3xUser count after launch
  • ~50%Reduction in load time
  • 1M+Google Play downloads
  • 4.0Google Play rating from 42,000+ reviews
