TryMyPro
UX/UI Assessment and Codebase Review

A clear plan for a growing marketplace app.
The challenge
TryMyPro connects homeowners with local service professionals through the people and networks they already trust. Its mobile app was slow to ship and hard to use, and the team needed to understand why before investing further. They turned to Shockoe's Digital Catalyst engagements to find the root causes.
The build
Two Digital Catalyst projects, after a success workshop to align on the product vision and business goals. The UX/UI assessment reviewed the design system and the user journey for inconsistencies, including accessibility. The codebase review assessed code quality, security and performance. Shockoe then presented final recommendations, a design system proposal and an MVP roadmap.
The result
The work gave TryMyPro a design system proposal with an accessible color palette, consistent components and unified layouts. It also gave a clear plan for which code to keep and which to upgrade, so the design and the code can move together. Shockoe proposed organizing the app around three experiences, Connect, Share and Scale, with service providers as digital champions of the app.
