UFC
Fighter Travel and Logistics App

Travel and event logistics, in one app.
The challenge
UFC hosts live events in cities around the world, and fighters, coaches, managers, and staff are always traveling. Visas, passports, medical records, and travel details for each fighter and team were collected by hand across countries and time zones. That took staff time and added friction for fighters, who also had tightly packed schedules of media appearances, weigh-ins, and promotional events once they arrived.
The build
A mobile app that brings event logistics into one place. A checklist shows each fighter and team what documentation is still needed for an event. Personal fight calendars, itineraries, hotel details, and shuttle information sit alongside it, and in-app messaging connects fighters directly with UFC staff.
Fighters can delegate secure access to coaches, managers, and assistants, who share visibility into tasks, schedules, and documents. The app connects with UFC's internal systems. Shockoe led discovery, designed the experience, built the app, and kept refining it with UFC's feedback.
The result
Less manual work for staff, live visibility into each fighter's readiness, and less last-minute coordination, because documents are collected in one place and teams message and delegate inside the app.

Questions about this project
What does the UFC app do?
It gives fighters and their teams one place for everything they need before an event: a checklist of travel and compliance documents, a personal fight calendar, itineraries, hotel and shuttle details, and messages from UFC staff.
Who uses the app?
Fighters, and the coaches, managers, and assistants who handle logistics for them, along with UFC staff who need to know that everyone is ready.
How does delegation work?
A fighter can give team members secure access to their tasks, schedule, and documents, so the team can complete requirements together instead of leaving it all to the fighter.
How does the app help UFC's internal teams?
Documents such as passports, visas, and medical records are collected in the app and connect to UFC's existing internal systems. That cuts manual follow-up and shows staff each fighter's readiness as it changes.
