PGA TOUR
Fan App with Live Scoring

Every shot, as it happens.
The challenge
A loyal fanbase and a global audience expected more from the PGA TOUR's mobile app. Score updates were slow, the app crashed often, and the features fans wanted most were hard to find or missing. It was time to start over with the right partner.
The build
A rebuilt fan app, designed around the fan. After a thorough discovery phase and agreement on the visual style, we opened the app with highlights and video, then let fans follow their favorite players, stats, news, and standings. With TOURCast, fans can navigate a 3D map of the course and trace each player's shots hole by hole.
Scores refresh in near real time, averaging 12 seconds against live play, the same experience fans expect from live-streaming apps like ESPN. Geofencing shows concession locations and where players are on the course, and fans can buy tickets and find events nearby.
The result
Live event engagement up 50% year over year since launch. On event weekends more than 900,000 fans use the app, and daily use passes 600,000, with positive feedback from both players and fans.
- 50%Year-over-year growth in live event engagement
