The challenge
A leading financial services company ran shuttles between its offices, but booking, boarding and operations were hard to manage. Riders needed a simple way to reserve a seat, drivers needed a fast way to check people in, and operations needed one place to see every trip. Buses ran at low capacity on quiet days and filled up on busy ones.
The build
Employee Shuttle Booking, a connected set of three tools. Employees book trips in an iOS and Android app and carry a QR e-ticket. A tablet kiosk on each bus, on iOS and Android, scans tickets, finds or makes a reservation and shows who has checked in. A web dashboard shows live trips, capacity, alerts and weather, and lets operations manage routes, trips, reservations and rider messages.
The result
The company needs fewer shuttles running at low capacity, and it can add buses on the days that need more. Riders are less likely to be left behind or arrive late, and the company can confirm that employees arrived at the office and are accounted for.

How do riders board?
Riders show a QR e-ticket to the kiosk at the bus door. The kiosk also lets a driver find a reservation by name or make a new one on the spot.

Scheduled trips, buses on route, on-time performance, capacity, live alerts and weather. They can add trips, manage routes and reservations, and send messages to riders.
