TryMyPro was facing significant challenges with their existing mobile application, leading to delayed deployment and a poor user experience. When they needed help in understanding the underlying causes, they took advantage of Shockoe’s Digital Catalyst engagements.
After initial assessment of TryMyPro’s digital ecosystem, Shockoe recommended two Digital Catalyst projects: UX/UI Assessment and Codebase Review. To kick-off the projects, the Shockoe team facilitated a success workshop with the TryMyPro team to ensure alignment on product vision and business goals.
01
APPROACH
STEP 1
Define business goals, customer needs, and existing challenges
STEP 2
Evaluate current design system and UX/UI for inconsistencies
STEP 3
Assess existing code, analyzing security and performance
STEP 4
Present strategic recommendations, assets, and MVP roadmap
02
IMPACT
Following the Success Workshop, Shockoe understood the importance of positioning TryMyPro service providers as Digital Champions of the app, encouraging it to be a companion during interactions with customers. In order to achieve this, Shockoe proposed organizing the user journey into 3 critical experiences: Connect, Share, and Scale.
Shockoe’s goals were to create designs that would overcome UI styling inconsistencies, a lack of cohesion in the user journey, and poor compliance with design standards. A brand new design system was established, including an accessible color palette, structured and consistent components, and unified layouts.
Shockoe’s technical code review identified areas for improvement, including proposed updates and architectural restructures. Technical recommendations were made around which parts of the code to maintain, and which to upgrade, considering the new design proposals to ensure parody between code and UI as updates are implemented.
