As a part of Richmond’s business community for 35 years, they strive to provide a high-quality product and service to each customer that comes through Car Pool.

To reward its loyal customers, Car Pool asked Shockoe to design and build an iPad® app that would allow customers to register for Car Pool reward points while waiting in the lobby for their cars to be washed.

The Challenge

Car Pool wanted a way to offer discounts to their patrons and encourage them to sign up for Frequency Rewards while they waited for their vehicle.

The Solution

The Car Pool app is a public access application running continuously on iPads stationed in all of Car Pool car wash locations in Virginia.

The Car Pool app is a public access application, that is, it is accessed by customers who use the company’s iPads and not their own. It allows the customer to register for, maintain, and redeem loyalty points earned by patronizing the car wash in any of Car Pool’s nine locations. In the app’s first day on the job, nearly 50% of Car Pool’s customers used it to enroll in their rewards program.
