## Fast food, fuel and rewards in one app.

### The challenge

Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh stores promise convenience and quality. Busy families wanted food fast without giving up freshness, and Hy-Vee wanted a mobile experience as personal as the stores: one place to order food, check fuel prices and use rewards across more than 160 convenience stores.

### The build

A unified iOS and Android app, with a back-end service that connects Hy-Vee's systems to the stores. Customers pick a store by search or map, browse menus by time of day and availability, customize items, and order for immediate or scheduled pickup, in store or curbside, with live order tracking and push notifications.

They can also compare fuel prices, including EV charging and diesel, filter stores by amenities, and use rewards, deals and Fuel Saver offers. Deliverect handles order management and a content management system powers dynamic deals, on a microservices architecture.

## The result

The app became a one-stop digital hub for busy families: order ahead, find the best fuel price and earn rewards in one personalized experience. Deals shown by time of day and shopping habits are designed to raise engagement, and the architecture is ready for new integrations and growth.
