Cross-Platform Training: From Web to Mobile

You’re charged with mobilizing your workforce with an internal development team that lacks the training required.
How do you get out of this Catch 22?

Now, we’ve got a situation:

Imagine 40,000 employees across 30 countries – many who are constantly on the go –  still processing orders on desktop computers. Now imagine having a great internal development team that is trained on managing legacy systems but not on the stacks required to help the company go mobile. That’s the situation the world’s largest paper and packaging company faced.
That’s where Shockoe came in…

Let’s make it mobile.

The CTO explained to us how he needed a custom app that integrated with multiple enterprise applications in order to streamline their process, making life easier for procurement teams while cutting costs for the organization.

The company selected React Native as the framework of choice for their enterprise mobile application. It’s a robust solution, and while their strong internal team of web developers weren’t up to speed on mobile, they could build off of their knowledge in JavaScript. Since mobile is our brain child, we thought we’d teach them the secret sauce instead of doing the work without an explanation.

Training the team was the first priority. A team here at Shockoe led daily development training sessions, integrating our renowned knowledge into their processes and systems. Once the client’s web team felt comfortable using React Native, we built an app…together. They were now able to fully collaborate with us and understand why we made the decisions we did, leaving them totally equipped to manage and maintain it moving forward. Why? Because they were a part of it from the very beginning.

Why Shockoe?

When you work with Shockoe, client relationships are at the forefront. We fully believe that mobile makes lives better, easier and faster, and the goal is for you to walk away feeling our collaborative custom mobile solution is the perfect fit for your enterprise.

If you have a vision for your organization but don’t know where to start, we’ve got you. Let’s make it happen.

Have an end goal in mind but not sure how to get there? Give us a shout
